About Bangaluru (a.k.a Bangalore)
The capital of Karnataka, Bangaluru is the fifth largest city in India. The presence of many parks and botanical gardens gives the name 'Graden City' to Bangaluru. The beautiful parks and gardens and tree-lined streets of Bengalooru make travel to the city a pure pleasure.
The year 2000 saw the introduction of Information Technology in Bangalore and since then, the city has not looked back. It boasts of the highest concentration of IT companies in the country. Today, Bangalore is known as 'The IT Capital of India' and "The Silicon Valley of India'. The Bangalore city is also very famous for its amazing nightlife. Some of the most happening discotheques and pubs of the country are in Bangalore, making it one of the most happening cities in India.
Located at an altitude of 920m (3021ft) from the sea level, Bangalore has a moderate  and pleasant climate throughout the year. 
How to Reach Bangaluru

Bangaluru has number of daily flights to important cities like Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyerabad, Chennai, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram.  Bangaluru has direct international flights to Muscat, Sharjah, Dubai, Frankfurt, Singapore and Hong Kong.
By Rail:
There are two railway stations in Bangalore.  The main station which is located in the central city area of Bangalore is connected to all major Indian cities. There are a number of daily trains from Bangalore to other cities in India.
By Road:
Bangalore is well connected using national highways to Mysore 3 hours, Chennai 8 hours and Mumbai 24 hours.
